Personal Statement
Since high school I have always been inclined to serve others. During this period I attended volunteer programs, where I could open my eyes to the reality that surrounds us. After that, I was able to perceive the need to develop entrepreneurship projects and the involvement of young people in social causes. When I entered to medical career, I decided to do something about it. I chose to work with the community of Los Lirios, Coahuila and I started a project with medical brigades, without knowing much about the subject of social processes. From then until now, everything has been a learning process to me. Step by step, and with the accompaniment of my mentors, I have been growing, learning and understanding different things. Today, I am proud of what we are doing in Group San Orestes and I would not change anything in this process. Today I can say that since that year until now, I can see a positive change in the community and that we, the university students, are able to carry out our studies, whatever the chosen career, and at the same time be develop a social project and attending to the needs of our neighborhood.
