Personal Statement

For the past two years, I have worked extensively on research projects addressing social movements and policymaking, student gentrification in Boston, and feminist contract theory. My ultimate goal in academic research is to make political theory less binary and more inclusive of gender nonconforming individuals. In addition, I have served as the treasurer of the Transgender and Nonbinary Coalition at Simmons College, and became certified as a volunteer tax preparer in order to combat income inequality and increase financial literacy in Boston. I am currently an intern at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination where I work on antidiscrimination policy enforcement. In the future, I would like to continue to work on racial and gender equality in a policymaking or legal capacity.
