Personal Statement

My parents instilled, by example, loving and serving others passionately. This passion has directed me to dedicate my life ministering to the medical needs of others. Serving has never been a chore or inconvenience. It gives me a sense of purpose helping others accomplish their dreams and goals and giving them hope. I have been able to minister to the homeless community as well as the elderly in nursing homes playing piano for them. Additionally, I have worked with Operation Christmas Child making and organizing Christmas boxes for orphans and the impoverished around the world. The most impactful service was at BeLoved Atlanta helping women escape from the sex trafficking industry. The desire to serve others has transcended into my summer plans as I prepare to go to Indonesia to work in a local hospital and minister to the poor.
