Aron Smith

Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology

On behalf of OSU Institute of Technology, it is my great pleasure to nominate Mr. Aron Smith for the Newman Civic Fellows Award. Aron volunteered countless hours in Oklahoma organizations, including the Oklahoma Business Ethics Consortium. In addition to this service, he works with the Regional Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, served in the Oklahoma Student Government Association, and founded a stress relief program for students.
Aron is involved in the student government as a participant and mentor. He has served on the Student Conduct Board and is a member of Phi Theta kappa. In these organizations, he continues his work to help his fellow students be responsible citizens.
He is guided through his belief that "through education and development of our youth (and younger generations), we can build a better future." He plans to continue to help guide individuals to the path of higher education so that our future may be bigger, better, and brighter.
He is dedicated to impacting society on a local, state, and national level. Through his work with the mentioned programs and his willingness to help out classmates, Mr. Smith is a true representative of OSUIT and the spirit of a global technical education.
