Dan Goswick, University of Mount Union

Dan Goswick, a sophomore at the University of Mount Union, is extremely dedicated to raising awareness for the rising need for community service in the Alliance, OH area. This January, Dan helped organize and advertise the 6th annual Martin Luther King Day of Service. More than three hundred people from the community and campus volunteered to help at eleven different organizations in and around Alliance. Dan is very passionate and charismatic. He uses these skills to be an effective leader with Alpha Phi Omega, a service fraternity at Mount Union. Using his knowledge of marketing he has helped the group grow to over 150 members, all of which maintain 20 service hours each semester. When new projects arise, Dan will bring them to the group and advertise to the campus to get more involvement. Additionally, Dan is a member of Raider Relief, a group of ‘radical philanthropists’ and uses his relations with local businesses to get support for their service projects they organize each semester. His ability to combine business prowess with a kind heart has helped touch many lives in his short time at Mount Union.
