Karli Lovelace is a sophomore Business Administration major at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa. Ms. Lovelace is a firm believer in the merits of responsibility, as evidenced by her participation in various leadership roles such as serving as president of the President's Leadership Council, where she works to see every campus event and project come to completion all while promoting scholarship and service in the community, along with serving as the Business Club's vice president, team captain of the SHS basketball team, and involvement on the student senate, BCM Leadership Team, and more. Her inclination toward positions of responsibility is given an even more exemplary weight when combined with her regard for empathy and compassion. After the tragic loss of her best friend to depression, Ms. Lovelace has taken initiative and charged determined steps forward in spreading awareness and education on the subject of mental illness via her social impact Initiative "Let's Talk," where she also provides encouragement and advocates hope to those who are struggling by offering her presence and support at a multitude of places including nursing homes, schools, and organizations, on top of her participation with organizations dedicated to suicide prevention.
