Personal Statement

Being a part of people's lives has always been one of my greatest aspirations. From the time that I was young I wanted to share and live a life full of love with everyone I met. To me, it does not matter who they are or where they come from, every heart deserves to be cared for. Since coming to Alvernia University, I have grown a new appreciation for the world as a whole. I work closely with the Holleran Center at after school programs for elementary school students, attend all the days of service, and do almost anything that I can to be out in the community I call home. I have been able to travel with the Alternative Breaks program the past three years; I will be able to say that I have been to Camden, Cincinnati, Virginia, and Tennessee. Each experience my heart grows a little fuller, and I grow a little stronger in my abilities. I have seen love and compassion from many different people of many ages, they are my inspiration. I hope to inspire and engage people in service and dialogue with as much love and inspiration that I have been given.
