Queenie herself is a student pilot, accruing hours towards her private pilot's license. As a child, she sometimes escaped to the roof of her grandma's house, watching the airport planes flying overheard, and told herself, "One day I will fly! In America you can fly!"

Personal Statement

Growing up in the Philippines as the oldest of five, who lost our father, I helped my mom raise my siblings and care for my grandparents. At age 19, I immigrated to the U.S. and became a Certified Nursing Assistant, finding my passion in caring for the elderly. My husband and I are raising three beautiful children. I send my CNA earnings back home so my siblings can go to college. For seven years, I have helped create change as a leader for AKBAYAN-FANEW - Filipino American Association of NE Wisconsin, showcasing Filipino pride in our community traditions. At MPTC, I serve on the Campus Student Senate and as the Secretary for the Districtwide Senate. I am also on the board of the West Bend chapter of the EAA - Experimental Aircraft Association, inspiring Young Eagles. I too am a student pilot! Becoming a Nurse, I want to give elderly and hospice patients, quality care, kindness and compassion. I teach my children, education and helping your community is essential for success. As a child, I sometimes escaped to the roof of my grandma's house, watching the airport planes flying overheard, and told myself, "One day I will fly! In America you can fly!"
