Todd Troester, Goucher College
Todd Troester, a junior majoring in Environmental Science, is a man of many talents and a bold, generous educator. As President of the Campus Agriculture Co-op (Ag Co-op), Todd has helped transform an on-campus garden into a communal space and has built long-term leadership within the club by initiating a summer leadership program that trains new student recruits in proper agricultural practices. As a student director in the Student Leaders for Civic Action program, he has taken a leadership role in training and guiding students as they work with TALMAR Gardens & Horticultural Therapy Center, a nonprofit organization established to provide a therapeutic and recreational environment that serves people of all ages, with an emphasis on those with special needs and disabilities. The Goucher community is also fortunate to have Todd’s representation on the Goucher Environmental Sustainability Advisory Council (GESAC), of which he is a co-chair. He has said that wants to be part of something that is bigger than him, to be part of a community that brings innovative ideas to fruition. We value his innovative spirit, leadership and enthusiasm.
