Ronny Stelly, NHTI, Concord’s Community College

Ronny Stelly has participated in the NHTI Environmental Action Club as an officer for one year and as President in the fall 2013 semester. Ronny has served the campus community by organizing the annual Earth Day Campus Clean-Up, screening films on environmental issues, and encouraging recycling on campus through various programs. When a need for recycling bins in residence halls was recognized, Ronny helped to create bins to be placed on campus with a logo that he designed. As an organization, the club has given away free CFL light bulbs to students, planted a balsam fir on campus, negotiated discounts for reusable mugs at the NHTI Bistro, held vegan bake sales, and participated in Concord community events raising environmental awareness. The Environmental Action Club continues to plan events to benefit the campus community, and by helping the environment, the greater Concord Community.
