Matthew Roche, La Salle University
Matthew Roche, a junior secondary education/history major at La Salle University, is a student leader active in issues of social justice. Matt came to La Salle with a history of service, and has expanded on that in his time at La Salle. He has been involved in countless service opportunities, ranging from tutoring to working at a local AIDS Hospice. He actively encourages members of the La Salle community to become aware and involved in issues of social and economic justice, both locally and globally. Among his contributions was leading the “Cranes for Peace” initiative on campus which brought together faculty, staff, and students to fold 1000 cranes as a prayer for peace.
