Jacqueline Perez Valencia, University of La Verne

Jacqueline Perez Valencia is a second year student at the University of La Verne and an active student leader on and off campus. Because she firmly believes that reaching a common ground is both necessary and attainable, she engages herself in multiple areas, such as interfaith work, politics, mentoring and entrepreneurship action. Jacqueline’s desire to be the change she wants to see in the world is what motivates her to engage in her community through service and civic action. Instead of having service be a part of her life, it is the central component that makes up her life. Not only does she take on responsibilities with the greatest joy, but she also has the unique ability of rallying others to become involved. Her participation in multiple organizations has allowed her to create a network of supporters and allies that are better together.
