Chad Ledbetter, Great Falls College MSU
Chad Ledbetter, a second-year student at Great Falls College Montana State University, leads with a willingness, energy and positive attitude that is infectious. Whether he is serving as the current Vice President of the Student Government, tutoring in the Learning Center, spearheading veteran affairs efforts, acting as father and husband, or serving as a Weekend Warrior for the Montana Guard, he does so with a purpose of improving life for others. He mentors incoming veterans and has openly shared his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder experiences with them in an effort to help them adjust to student and civilian life. His many suggested improvements to the Learning Center and campus have benefited all students, whether it’s creating study aids for the biology, anatomy and physiology, psychology, and chemistry students he tutors or organizing a fall celebration for hundreds of families at the college and from the community. Chad plans to complete his coursework at GFC MSU and then transfer to a nursing program to pursue his bachelor’s/RN degree. He is a successful example for others to follow, on campus and in the community.
