Alex Marshall, Clark University
Alex Marshall, a sophomore political science major at Clark University, is actively engaged in political campaigns and social justice issues at Clark and in the Worcester, Massachusetts community. Alex is passionate about finding long-term structural solutions to the problems in our community and engaging other students in the democratic process. He was awarded the prestigious Making A Difference Scholarship based on his record of community service work and leadership during high school, and he has continued and expanded his social justice work while at Clark. As a campus leader, Alex has been involved in Student Council since his first semester at Clark and currently serves as Student Council Treasurer and as Vice-President for the Democrats of Clark University student group. Additionally, Alex has spent an incredible amount of time volunteering with political organizations and campaigns off-campus such as the Elizabeth Warren for Senate campaign, Ed Markey for Senate campaign, and the local Mayoral race in Worcester. Through all of this work, he raises the serious and difficult questions on campus and challenges other students to join him in working for positive social change in our society.
