Lorin Jackson, California Institute of Integral Studies
Lorin Jackson is currently in the first year of a Master’s Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Through her work and volunteerism as teacher and tutor, Lorin is deeply involved in bringing educational resources to underserved communities in Oakland, California. Lorin also works on curriculum development through a community service internship with the KIDCAT program at San Quentin Prison. She collaborates with men who were incarcerated during adolescence for long-term sentences in developing school curricula based in restorative justice principles and self-empowerment. Lorin is an exceptionally dedicated and passionate leader and teacher.Her experiences in diverse areas and aspects of education will contribute towards her goal of obtaining a PhD and working to enhance the educational policies for under-privileged populations on a large scale.
