Antigone Senn, Madonna University
Antigone Senn, a pre-dietetics major at Madonna University has been making contributions toward addressing food insecurity for most of her adult life. On the ground level she has leveraged partnerships with youth-serving agencies and worked with comprehensive organizations to address local hunger issues. Antigone is also a natural leader who has mobilized volunteers to facilitate physical fitness activities and teach nutritional lessons to youth. Antigone is particularly passionate about raising the awareness of healthy food choices, food systems, and the benefits of organic produce through advocacy efforts related to The Food Bill and National Food Day. Antigone’s potential for making signification contributions to public problem solving is evident and as she continues her education at Madonna University, she will continue to have opportunities to inform policy reform and raise awareness about the nutrition and wellness needs of people of all ages and abilities.
