Alaina Taylor, Century College
Alaina Taylor, a second year student at Century College in Minnesota, has a passion for helping people that became rooted in her as a result of her mother’s illnesses. Because of the generosity that poured into her family through food, transportation, and donated time off, she started volunteering and now can’t stop! For two years she has been coordinating multiple service events at school, as well as tutoring at the local library and her church. As an active student leader on Century’s campus, she currently is the Vice President of Service for the honor society, Phi Theta Kappa. Her passion for community service has enabled her to become a leader on and off campus. This compassion has grown into her long term goal to become a Pharmacist and educate the community about the harmful side effects of multiple medications – again as a result of her family experiences. As she moves on to the next level of her education, her organizing skills, personality and spirit will no doubt be the catalyst for success.
