Bennard Franklin, Benedict College

Bennard Franklin is a junior Child and Family Studies Major at Benedict College. Assisting families has been a consistent theme in his service-learning, which includes projects with  Hannah House (a transitional home for women and children), and Chris Kids (a non-profit dedicated to strengthening families and building community). As  current President of B.A.S.I.C. (Brothers and Sisters in Christ), he coordinated the Souper Bowl of Caring, food drives for l Harvest Hope Food Bank, and several school supplies and clothing drives to benefit local school children. He mentors high school students and peers through the Student Leadership Institute oft Benedict College.
