Personal Statement
I am committed to community building and work hard to get involved in communities that I am part of. Within Antioch University Seattle those communities include student veterans and the LGBTQIA student group. I am passionate about and put energy in to make those smaller communities better. Through my multicultural concentration, I was moved to learn more about and offer my services to ethnic and racial communities different than my experience. Therefore I chose an internship serving the low-income youth of color, predominately African American youth. I am able to serve LGBT clients at my internship site. Therefore, I am able to bridge an area in which I have strength with what I know less about.
