Community Assessment and Analysis Course Description: This is an advanced course in the theory and practice of community assessment in public health. Community assessment focuses on measuring a community’s health status and its determinants. It also focuses on assessing a community’s capacity to improve health. To be able to conduct assessment, students must have a working understanding of the determinants of health, as well as the “anatomy and physiology” of community.
