Indiana Publishes ‘Quick Hits for Service-Learning: Successful Strategies by Award-Winning Teachers’

February 15, 2011

Indiana Campus Compact is thrilled to announce the release of Quick Hits for Service-Learning: Successful Strategies by Award-Winning Teachers. This publication that was started by Indiana Campus Compact’s 2007-2008 faculty fellows class and under the leadership of ICC’s Associate Director, J.R. Jamison, is finally published and available for purchase. This publication was initially funded as part of Indiana Campus Compact’s 2007-2010 Lilly Endowment Inc. grant, Enhancing Student Learning and Retention through Service-Learning and Service Engagement.

Quick Hits for Service-Learning is not steeped in theory, but, rather, allows faculty interested in service-learning the opportunity to read short, discipline-based logistical examples and expectations. In addition, Indiana Campus Compact feels that the publication transcends higher education faculty and could also be used with K-12 teachers, administrators, and after school educators.

Many faculty and staff in multiple states contributed to this publication (see below the list of states/countries that are represented in this publication).
