Introduction

This toolkit assembles resources from a statewide symposium, Project Inclusion New Hampshire: Assessing and Enacting a Commitment to Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity on Campus. The symposium, held in June 2016, explored strategies for making higher education more inclusive in ways that benefit all members of the campus community. Project Inclusion was made possible through the support from the Lloyd G. Balfour Foundation, Bank of America, N. A., Trustee.  Documentation of the materials found on this page was made possible through the generous support of the New Hampshire Endowment for Health.

Sponsored jointly by Campus Compact for New Hampshire (CCNH) and the New England Resource Center for Higher Education (NERCHE), the symposium gathered higher education leaders from across New England to discuss strategies and models for preparing students to succeed in our increasingly multicultural society.

The resources here offer hands-on guidance for campuses in New Hampshire and beyond that are seeking to put higher education access and success within reach for all students.

This rubric offers guidance for collecting and analyzing data on campus diversity and inclusion, creating work plans for each of six essential dimensions of campus culture, implementing the work plans, and reassessing campus efforts.
