The author first introduces the topic by providing characteristics of community-engaged research, the definition of a “community”, and how communities are typically represented. The PowerPoint is then presented in four sections: ethical principles of research, protecting individuals and considering community-level concerns, ethical principles and the partnership process, and ethical issues of power and control.
