Angel Diaz, Northampton Community College
Angel Diaz is a Northampton Community College business administration student. Unlike most NCC students Angel is an undocumented student. Because of her status, Angel has had many barriers to face in life. Most barriers were able to be broken because of her laser focused goal of obtaining an education. She looks forward to continuing her education at a four year school, but faces an obstacle that has given her a new purpose – trying to fund her education without any form of financial aid. This obstacle, along with her courage to publicly disclose her undocumented status has fueled a passion to bring awareness to the community about the plight of a large number of young people who have lived in the United States their whole lives and now find they are unable to pursue a higher education. Angel is an activist in the Lehigh Valley for immigration reform and a CLEO (Council on Legal Education Opportunity) recipient. She is president of the NCC Student Senate and her dream is to attend law school specializing in immigration issues.
