Hilary Pollan, Mount Holyoke College, MA
Through community-based learning opportunities at Mount Holyoke College, Hilary Pollan has been involved with the local community in a variety of education-focused activities. She’s served as a philosophy instructor for children in Springfield, as a tutor for adults in Holyoke Community College’s Transition to College and Careers Program and HolyokeWorks ESOL, and as an instructor through the Community Education Project, offering “Native Language Literacy” and “Adult Basic Education in Spanish” classes. She also co-authored curriculum modules for ABE learners at HCC’s College Awareness/Readiness Program and facilitates workshops through the HCC Adult Learning Center.
