Campus Compact Subgrants $25,000 for College Access and Success
Campus Compact has awarded grants of $5,000 to five of its state affiliates to build upon discussions begun at the Compact’s Presidents Leadership Summit held in October at Georgetown University, Washington, DC.
Indiana Campus Compact, Michigan Campus Compact, North Carolina Campus Compact, Oregon Campus Compact, and Rhode Island Campus Compact each received funds to support any activity or program that informs, promotes, or advocates for college access and success among their member campuses, or that allows an organization to partner with the state Compact around statewide access and success programs.
Projects range from convening a statewide college access network in Rhode Island to organizing graduation plan “parties” that encourage middle school students in Indiana to view college as a possibility.
Funding for these programs was initially provided by Lumina Foundation for Education and USA Funds. Recipients were chosen by a national review committee through a competitive RFP process.
