TRUE STORIES OF ENGAGEMENT: HIGHER EDUCATION FOR DEMOCRACY, our 2018 national conference, brought together nearly 700 professionals focused on engaged scholarship and practice. Don’t miss our upcoming 2019 regional conferences and 2020 national conference in Seattle! Learn more >

EDUCATION FOR DEMOCRACY was launched to ensure students have the skills, knowledge, and motivation to be active and informed participants in our democracy. Included is the Democracy Learning Space, a new Open Educational Resources platform coming soon! Learn more > 

COMMUNITY COLLEGE COMMITMENT began with our merger with The Democracy Commitment and the hiring of Verdis Robinson, our new director of community college engagement. Keep an eye out in 2019 for more tools and resources specifically for community colleges. Learn more > 

COMPACT NATION PODCAST continued with its third season. This year we added a new co-host, Marisol Morales, Campus Compact’s vice president for network leadership. More episodes coming soon! Learn more >

2018 THOMAS EHRLICH CIVICALLY ENGAGED FACULTY AWARD was presented to Dr. Eva Zygmunt, Helen Gant Elmore Distinguished Professor of Elementary Education and co-director of the Alliance for Community-Engaged Teacher Preparation at Ball State University. Learn more > 

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIAL launched with a limited pilot. Stay tuned in early March 2019 for the official launch of the first micro-credentials. Learn more >

2018 CONVENING OF NEWMAN CIVIC FELLOWS brought 170 community-committed students from across the country to Boston for learning, networking, and growth. We’re now seeking nominations for the 2019 cohort of fellows! Learn more >
