Hannah Waller, University of New Hampshire

hannah wallerHannah Waller has a passion for work in the field of human rights. She interned with Amnesty International (AI) in Washington, D.C. and then founded a University of New Hampshire chapter of AI. As president of that organization, she worked with the New Hampshire Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty to organize a successful “Road to Repeal 2014: Ending the Death Penalty in New Hampshire” event, featuring Kirk Bloodsworth, the first man in the U.S. to be exonerated from death row due to DNA testing. She has been a participant in the Clinton Global Initiative University and the Israeli-Palestinian Peace Project and will travel to Bosnia this summer to research leftover tensions from the 1991-1995 war. She aims for a career shaping U.S. policy to end genocide and mass atrocities worldwide, with a focus on conflict prevention and transitional justice.
