Amy Montanez, New England College

Amy Victoria Montanez is a senior at New England College majoring in Secondary Math Education and minoring in Mathematics. Before NEC she attended Hillsborough Deering High School in Hillsborough, NH. In addition to her studies at NEC, Amy works part-time as a Para-educator II at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center. NEC is where she really started to get involved serving in the community, as well as communities around the world. She has been to Nicaragua twice and the Dominican Republic once with a non-profit organization called Out Reach 360. She has also taken a trip to India, making connections with several different organizations in the hope that NEC and India can develop a long-time service partnership. In addition to this, Amy tutors middle and high school students in her home town, helping with math homework… and works at a small dairy farm milking cows six days a week!
