David Fisher, Oberlin College, Ohio

David Fisher, a junior at Oberlin College, possesses a passion for interfaith community service. David is integrating his majors of Jewish Studies and Environmental Studies with action by creating interfaith service trips to Appalachia which offer humanitarian aid, teach ecological awareness, and foster religious pluralism. David’s ability to work across cultural and class differences stems from his diverse strengths and passions. He has obtained important experience in interfaith dialogue facilitation and religious activism through his curricular and co-curricular journey, and now he is taking his passion to one of the areas of greatest need in our country.
