Personal Statement

My passion for social justice came from my family, and I was attracted to Hobart and William Smith Colleges because I could see how I could purse my civic engagement interests inside and outside of the classroom. As an America Reads tutor, I was honored to be a role model to kids who may have come from a similar background as me, and show them how to persevere so that opportunities for higher education are attainable, these interests inform my curricular aspirations and long term career and social justice oriented goals.
