Personal Statement

Being a multi-talented, diligent individual, I am prompted to never give up on anything that I start. I'm empowered by my past and motivated by God's grace to achieve my future academic success. Once I achieve success, I will be more capable of setting other young people in my community and in the world to follow on my path of academic achievement and productive citizenship. The first step in attaining academic success, is to matriculate at Morgan State University as an ideal, successful, motivated, honor student. As a master at time-management, I have mapped out my plan and set my timeline to graduate from Morgan State University in 2018 with my bachelor's degree in marketing. While at Morgan, I plan to be involved in all the college activities that will provide the necessary opportunities to make friends and network with faculty, staff and students and dedicate my time, talents and acquired skills and knowledge to advance my church and my community. Receiving the Newman Civic Fellowship will insure that my leadership will influence others to make changes in our communities and in the world. In conclusion, leadership for me means putting "God" first and allowing him to guide my footsteps.
