Personal Statement

The importance of service was instilled in me at a very young age. I have a passion for helping others in any way possible. During my time at Buena Vista University, I have been given the opportunity to be a leader and help others work to develop their own passion for service. I have participated in student MOVE (Motivating Outreach and Volunteer Efforts) through both volunteer recruitment and the alternative break program. I also work with several organizations in the school of education that involve volunteering with children in local communities. I have grown in my leadership potential through these programs, and my passion for helping others has continued to grow.
