Personal Statement

Due to my social work I received a scholarship for UDEM high school. At that time, I identified the need to provide educational opportunities to young people that were at my same socio-economic situation. This was the main reason why at my 15 years of age, I decided to create the program Dar sin Esperar in order to help reduce scholar desertion, and its causes. The program is directed to children and youths that live in communities with a vulnerability situation in Nuevo Leon and it provides sport workshops for children, dialogue meetings and mentoring for youths, education for parents and high school and college scholarships. Also, the program has fortified alliances with the private and public sector and has involved young volunteers and students that makes their social service, same who coaches and teaches our beneficiaries. It was legally formed as a civil association in 2017 and nowadays is being incubated by a social project accelerator. I believe that education and creation of new educational opportunities are crucial for the development of the human being, as well as, for the growth and improvement of the place we live.
