Colby Chaput is an active leader on campus who has positively impacted many programs at NHTI, Concord's Community College and in the surrounding Concord community. Colby has made it a priority to not only be involved himself, but to get others involved on campus and at community events as well.

He is an active member of NHTI's Wiffle Ball Committee and has assisted in raising money and awareness by participating in our annual wiffle ball tournament fundraiser that benefits a sick or disabled child and their family. This large scale fundraiser has raised over $50,000 over the past 15 years to assist the family with various expenses such as medical costs, therapy programs, and necessary accommodations that the child needs. Colby now helps with this event year-round by coordinating fundraisers leading up to the next tournament and being a student voice on how we can get others involved.

Colby has had a huge part in other events such as Project Crash, a mock car accident that raises awareness of the dangers of driving impaired, and NHTI's Lynx to Leadership program, where he volunteered to be a mentor and guide to first year students. During Lynx to Leadership, Colby worked with the incoming students on a civic engagement component where the group hosted the Concord Boys and Girls Club for a field day of games and activities. He is passionate about bringing meaningful experiences to campus and raising awareness to his peers about being positive community members.
