Personal Statement

After graduating from high school and again five years later, I decided to become an AmeriCorps NCCC member. Both times, I spent ten months working on community service projects all over the United States. As a Greenfield Community College student, I am able to be a part of and give back to my community through peer tutoring, serving as a student senator, new student orientation leader, and a math club member. Through my experiences with NCCC and as a GCC student I realized that I want to become an engineer focusing on water systems. With this education and training, I hope to join the Peace Corps and assist in communities that may not have access to clean drinking water.
