2016 Newman Civic Fellows Convening

In partnership with the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, Campus Compact hosted an inaugural national convening of Newman Civic Fellows in Boston on November 18-19, 2016. This event provided an opportunity for Newman Civic Fellows from across the country to connect and to participate in shared civic learning. Fellows practiced perspective taking and collaborating across lines of difference in a Senate Immersion Model run by the Edward M. Kennedy Institute. They also attended a workshop on tools from Sustained Dialogue Campus Network for improving relationships and engaged in activities geared toward building the collective power of the Newman Civic Fellows' network. To learn more about the convening, you can check out blog posts from two of our fellows, Tristan Anderson of Bergen Community College, and Sonce Reese of University of Baltimore, who shared their experiences with the convening. You can also get a glimpse of the action through our convening photos. Any questions about the convening can be directed...
